Poster paintings
Yesterday I was sitting with my iPad and my Apple Pencil playing with colours. The result can vary from image to image, but it is always interesting to find new ways to present paintings and posters.
Changing our New Year Geeting card 2018 from photo to poster is one example.
Years ago I made these two paintings (acrylic on paper) and got very good response from an artist and galleryowner in Portugal. May be this way of working can be my style. Every artist try hard to develop his or her special print in history.
The two paintings above was made in 2005 and 10 years later the painting below (the Lighthouse) left my easel

Making sketches for Springtime paintings
As I have bloged about many times, the wintertime in Oslo makes it almost impossible to sit in front of my easel at the balcony and paint. It is too cold and the acrylic paint can freeze before it has covered the canvas.
As a consequence I make sketches, either on paper or on my iPad with Apple pencil. This image is one of the digital results of colouring an image from Ålesund using the fantastic Apple Pencil.

Visiting Ålesund and View from the top of Oslo
Happy new Year
The first week of 2018 started with a visit to my birthplace Ålesund.
Coming together with old friends from schooldays in a dinner party, and use the opportunity to see the latest exhibition of Terje Fagermoe´s paintings was the aim of the visit and a great experience.
If you have good friends, see them often for obstacles occur on the roads not used regularly.
The visit at KHÅK was very interesting, and these four paintings were still on sale (ab. 40 - 50.000 nok) during my visit.
Coming back to Oslo after heavy weather with snow and storm a visit to the top of the capital was on the program because my wife wants to go skiing. This image is of Frognerseteren is great, and please be aware of the color similarity between the snow here and in the fourth painting by Terje Fagermoe.
From the road close to Midtstuen Ski jump the low sun was rising and the city is probably wakening.
