Additional Images from this spring stay in Spain 2018

Since I have had difficulties with my blog during our stay, the last blogpost from Spain this year must only be a selection of images covering our last weeeks down there.

Tullen at Plaza de los Chinorros and the restaurant with the longest sunny afternoons.

With Knut and Lillian (neighbours at the hotel) at one of the newest restaurants or pitstop on the way from the city and back to the hotel. Not sure the restaurant will survive with present concept.

This year a very interesting painting exhibition at Museo Carmen Thyssen was on the agenda.

One of our favorite tapas bars where we almost are the only non spanish guests. Allways on the agenda when in Malaga city

Another tapas bar close to Plaza Merced in Malaga that can be recommended is Cortijo de Pepe. The best Albondigas in the city.

In Fuengirola the restaurant La Farola is great. The Sopa de Marisco is the best starter ever.

If you want a Chicken Kebab as the main cource be aware of the volume and drop the starter.

At Bodega Charolais we are always welcome and they have a great list of exclusive wines and good tapas in addition to the more gourmet meals.

At the harbour close to the smaller leasure boats we often stay relaxed at the many reataurants

Then it is time to say goodbye for this time, and Amina always is there the last night. How she knows that we are leaving the next morning, we do not understand. Cats are wise.

Malaga and Puerto Banus

As usual we do travel around in Andalucia when staying in Fuengirola either by bus, rented cars or the efficient train system. The main city Malaga is visited almost every 12th day.
The main shoping street "Calle Larios" is always visited, and when my wife do the shopping I rest at one of the many nice places for coffee etc.
At the bar in El Pimpi accompanied with all celebrities photos the Malaga wine must be tried.
Another place we always visit is Puerto Banus where we have found our favorite restaurant area south of the city tower. This images is from La Bocana where we celebrated my youngest sister´s birthday together with my other sister Gerd. A tradition you may say.
My favorite position at one of the Chirringitos along the beach. As you see the spring is arriving.
We have in many years been feeding the hotel cat, but a new experience this spring was that the blackbirds also became fond of the cat food. When Amina was full and left the patio, the birds came to grab the leftovers.
Our Apartment Hotel is located close to the old Castle in Fuengirola; Sohail Castle built in AD 956.

Spain at last

It has been a long time since we left Spain in November 2017. It has also been a month delay compared to planned departure this spring due to hand wrist fracture of my wife´s left arm.
It was therefor a great lift off from Gardermoen on the 17th of March when we could leave the cold winter in Norway behind us and start our stay at Fuengirola spring 2018.
The sky over the Mediterranean was grey and clouded, a little chilly but still much better than minus 18 in Norway.
Due to the wether condition we had to open the stay with Cava around the fireplace at GaliGali.

Even the hotel-cat Amina wanted to come inside the apartment door.

And now we are here in Fuengirola and ready for the spring in Spain.
