ABC Wednesday - U for Unsatisfactory behaviour UPDATE

No satisfying message from the hospital this morning giving hope for treatment today.
The leading doctor promised yesterday to call early through the team-leader in charge, asking me to come at a specific hour, but the opposite message received.
No treatment planned for this Wednesday.

The hospital has destroyed my Season celebration. The Christmas is cancelled.

U is for an Unsatisfactory behavior at Rikshospitalet

U for Update
Latest information from the Hospital is that I am prioritized for operation Thursday. Hopefully no urgent kidney, liver or pancreas transplantation will occur (if so I fully understand changes in planned use of the Operating theaters), and that I am, after all the delays, on the speedy recovery journey tomorrow afternoon.

Best of luck to you in spite of the slow and disappointing past few days.

Hi Arne,

I'm so sorry to read your frustrating news. The waiting and not knowing is absolutely crazy. Fingers crossed things really do start happening tomorrow.

(((Hugs)))

I'm so sorry to hear about you and Truls. I'm not so frequently here anymore. However Rikshospitalet behave inexcusably and absolutely disgusting.
When I try to contact the hospital, I feel humiliated and lost. I have nowhere to turn, as all the competence I need is within the hospitals walls. Pasients are met with inquisive interrogation from the swichboard operator; "Are you a patient or a doctor?". The only solution is to claim "I'm a collegue, of course!". The next hurdle is the doctor's frontdesk staff barking: "You have to contact your local doctor!!!"
The standing prosedure is ower, that I'm supposed to contact Rikshospitalet when I have any serious problems. My local doctor is a nice man, but he is honest about his shortcomings concerning nephrology.
So the best wishes for you. I cross my fingers for you and hope all will turn out fine!

Arne, slike beskjeder må være ille å få like før jul.
