To be or not to be

Sometimes I feel that I have to join Blog memes to get my blog known. But what is "known".
Is the number of visitors an indication of being a success. Is the number of countries the visitors come from or the number of comments most important.

Is visibility or being known the utmost indicator of to be or not to be.

The statistics below show some of these indicators.

As a total I have had over 46000 visits. I have the last month been visited close to 1700 times from people living in 66 countries. I have got about 260 comments. The highest score of comments is on meme-days, and most often from the same visitors.
More than every third visitor are blogging in countries outside Norway.
Nevertheless, if the question is to be or not to be, I AM (alive and happy)

The photos at the end of this post is only to show that I know that the meme for today is :and add one more photo of a sunset like hundreds of other bloggers. Boring.

Her kan man lære mye.

And the last one is just stunning, Arne:)

Have a nice weekend:)

Great stats you have for sure! Mine was never close to that, it won't even match up to the half of your stat! =)

Anyway, the first picture was interestingly beautiful! And the sunset was just marvelous!

My SWF pictures are posted in these blogs:
Jenn Was Here and Shutter Happy Moments. Hope you can hop by if you have the time. Happy weekends to you!

I have no clue as to my stats and really don't care, you always do however have the best words for how you put things. With that said your sky watch photos are beautiful with all the rest of the sky watch photos that i don't find boring.

Reasons for bloging are many and sometimes they change through time.
We want our blogs to be noticed, but no one should tell you how to run YOUR blog.
That is why I now write whitout any strong connections to any blog societies (one exeption: Broer som binder - Bridges between).

Keep up writing, but don't do it for me or any other, do it for your self.

Have a nice weekend T&A.

First of all, love your opening comments! I must admit, I rely on memes and my pics for inspiration! They're a great team!

And loved these pics! Beautiful!

Your photos are both fabulous! Is that some sort of sculpture in the first one? I don't even have a stat counter on my photoblog. for me, it is just the satisfaction of seeing my own photos on the screen...

Cheers from the US!

Sometimes you think--another sunset: boring. But I don't know that sunsets can ever really be boring. They are a gift we receive each day--sometimes more glamourous than others.

Memes can give us a handle to attach to each week in blogland. Do we need to be firmly attached? Probably not. If one becomes boring to us or tedious, then it is a good time to take a break from that meme, as it is no longer a challenge and no longer satisfying.

Statistics! Am I more satisfied blogging now than a year ago when my blog was unseen and uncommented on? Yes, and I never thought it would matter. Blogging is another avenue that brings me out of my shy corner and makes friends in very real senses. I learn a lot.

I keep my sitemeter and check it in amazement to see where my visitors come from and how they got to my blog. It is interesting to see when a search has brought someone, and what they were searching for. But if I have a slow day, do I worry? Not really. And if a certain kind of post does not attract comments do I quit doing that kind of post? No, if I feel that that is what I want to express then I do it.

But time in blogland sometimes keeps me from other things I ought to do--from my sewing, from reading, from my garden. I need to balance these enjoyments better. Perhaps a break, perhaps a change in focus from time to time, perhaps join a different meme, challenge others to something.

Choose what works for you, Arne. We'll come by from time to time to see what you are up to.

It may be just one more sunset, but what a sunset! Love the light haloing the sun, that's what makes this so special

Your pictures are excellent as always but calling sunsets boring is not really what Sky Watch is all about... not for profit or reward... no prises, nothing .. just the simple fun of taking part... some pictures might not be as good as others... but the people who posted them are making someone else day by visiting and commenting...
No body is forced to join in, it's for fun.

The top picture is really cool. Looks like an interesting, picturesque place to visit--begging for pictures to be taken.

A sunset over water is NEVER boring.

I'm with you on the memes (I think), but I do them anyway. I've "met" a lot of cool people that way.

Keep up the good work.

In March, it will be three years since I started blogging. I joined a few memes to get to know other people where I like to read and see their photos. When the first meme I joined got too huge and I thought I had to visit everyone, I just quit the whole meme because not everyone visited me even when I went to theirs.

I have cut down on several of the memes I used to participate in because I never had time to do something just for me blogs. If people visit and I have never been there, I usually check them out and sometimes they become a permanent spot to visit as often as I can make the rounds.

I think I will always do odd shots because it is something new each time. My favorite is Bridges between -- probably because of its definition and monthly post only. I also find Blog Your Blessings Sunday good for me.

I want to start writing more and adding photos to the writing instead of the other way around.

Will probably always drop by here because I have found many interesting topics even when it isn't a meme.

I don't keep statistics and I don't wait for people to visit mine before I visit theirs only.

I guess there's something for all of us at different times.
