Hundertwasser / Gaudi

28 years ago we visited an exhibition at Hennie Onstad Art Center outside Oslo. We bought a poster of the artist which we for several years had on the kitchen wall together with other painter´s posters. The painter from 1980 was Friedensreich Regentag Dunkelbunt Hundertwasser

The common themes in Hundertwasser´s work are:

a rejection of the straight line,
bright colors,
organic forms,
a reconciliation of humans with nature, and
a STRONG individualism.

We visited Hundertwasser House in Vienna some years ago, and here are the photos:

Hundertwasser´s Grüne Zitadelle von Magdeburg, and the spectacular artist Antoni Plàcid Guillem Gaudí i Cornet´s houses in Barcelona, are unbelievable and milestones in archetecture development. I strongly recommend you to visit the Catalonian capital to see The Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família.

Gaudi was part of the Art Nouveau movement around 1900, and Hundertwasser part of the Green / Environmental movement in the 1970s where "planting trees in an urban environments was to become obligatory". Today green lounges and versatile architecture is more accepted in Urban life, even tough the financial interests often behave as obstacles to this philosophy.

Der har jeg vært!
Synes du ikke husene var artige! Jeg likte de godt. Fargerike og fine. Det var moro å se dette igjen idag. :-)

Du er en observang person. Ganske riktig - det var 2 stk på bildet. Så takk for hilsen. :-)

Underskriver på alt om Barcelona, Gaudi og Sagrada Familia. Tok over 100 bilder bare av den - noen av dem er til og med lagt ut...
